The highlight of this sucker was the unexpected microwave. The plan was to hike to the Bullitt Fireplace and call it good. It was a hot Friday afternoon and neither of us were feeling hiking but we slogged up the trail to the fireplace, to at least hit our goal. It’s not even that hard of a hike but we were both just feeling blah this day. I had hiked Poo Poo Point in the morning and Karann had worked, and it was just not an afternoon where we were in the hiking mindset. But we did it regardless.
Once we made it to the fireplace, we decided to continue up the trail to Central Peak. Because why not? We had no idea what the end goal was up there. Turns out it’s a microwave. And some towers. I liked the microwave because it was unexpected. And fun. Something different.
Still not feeling verbose over here, so in pictures: Bullitt Fireplace and Central Peak.

The Bullitt Fireplace remains.

Pretty flowers! And nipple mushrooms?!

Central Peak trail to the towers. And a blue sky.

The microwave. So fun! It was filled with things to do and a notepad to write whatever down. We added our initials and date because neither of us like to leave identifying things—I think this dates ourselves?! Haha.

An uneventful post. I’m not feeling it these days. Damn summer and all the sunshine has really depressed me, haha. I need fall, gloom, and cold to cheer me up.
