Throwback Tuesday (not Thursday, whatever). While the big kiddos were at school, I took the little ones to Farrel-McWhirter. The memories! I used to take the big kiddos there at least twice a week, sometimes more. That died down when I was deathly sick while pregnant with Saige. The days of going to parks were replaced with me lying on the couch doing the bare minimum while they did whatever to keep themselves entertained. We’ve been a few times since. The last time right after Vaile was born… I remember it wasn’t supposed to rain, which was good because we were living in the apartment and had zero rain gear. When we got to the park, it started raining. Hard. We left to Costco to buy rain coats.
Saige had yet to fully experience Farrel-McWhirter. It was time. Vaile, too (by default). It was so great to be back. And I’m guessing word got out about it being an amazing park because it was busy (busy for FM I should say). The animals were still trucking along, the trails were still as nice as I remember, the water was looking good for summer play, the wide-open field was perfect for running, the trees were asking to be climbed… all the things I have fond memories of taking Blaise and Laine. I seriously love the park. We’ll be going back regularly (again).
Saige’s (and Vaile’s, mostly Saige) first official experience:
